mainstream, the Conference will showcase solutions.
The Conference will provide a venue for management
level personnel to see Linux solutions that have been
installed and talk to the actual customers who have made the transition
to Linux. You'll find out why they converted to Linux, how they converted
and the results.
Here is a summary

Nextwine.com, a global, web-centric organization focused on the high-end
wine collector. A new project underway at Trifecta is developing Websphere
applications for Boscov's Department Stores using an xSeries Linux Intel
system, and deploying those applications when completed on Boscov's IBM
Mainframe zSeries in a Linux Virtual Machine. Future plans for Trifecta

Erick Tyack, one of the engineers on the LTSP, The Linux Terminal
Server Project will provide a presentation on their Open Source
product which is one of the most popular software products on the Linux
platform.

Koha Library Project
Koha is the world's first free Open Source Library System. Made in New
Zealand by the Horowhenua Library Trust and Katipo Communications Ltd,
the Koha system is a full catalogue, opac, circulation, member
management and acquisitions package.
Koha is used by public libraries, private collectors, university
faculties, not for profit organisations, churches, schools and
corporates.
Chris Cormack, Version 1.2 Release Manager of the Koha Open Source
Library project, comes all the way from New Zealand to make a
presentation. The Koha project will be installed at the Nelsonville, OH
Public Library system.

Debian GNU/Linux Distribution
Colin Walters one of the principal engineers on the Debian Project will
be giving an overview including highlights such as what makes Debian the
most portable operating system, how Debian is used as a base for other
operating systems, and an introduction to some Debian subprojects such
as SE Debian, Debian-MED, and Debian-JR."
